What is the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
To be open to new opportunities – even if they weren’t in your plan.
What future opportunities do you think marketing and communications will create over the next five years?
The sales/marketing/digital divide will dissolve, with marketing leading a transformed B2B buying experience – through the whole cycle.

A mix – traditional like FT, BBC but also LinkedIn
What has had the most influential impact on your leadership career and why?
A combination of a major transformation at Thomson Reuters, some amazing bosses and I did an incredible 3 day women in leadership course.
What is your biggest takeaway from covid19?
The team can achieve amazing things, even in difficult conditions – and respond quickly to a changing market!
How are you planning for 2021 and beyond?
We are revisiting how we plan entirely given covid, we will have a more agile planning and budgeting process so we can respond better to changing market conditions.
What career advice would you now give to yourself 10 years ago?
Take chances, pick your leaders wisely and build strong relationships with your team – so they can support you when you need it.
What’s the toughest interview question you’ve ever asked or been asked?
Where do you want to be in 5 years – I don’t plan that far out!
Who is your business hero and why?
I was lucky enough to work for Deb Walton when I was at Refinitiv – she’s an incredible business woman and I learned a huge amount from her.
