I am working with a European energy company to appoint a Media Relations Manager to join their London-based International Corporate Affairs Directorate. This is an organisation with big ambitions: to build out their operations internationally and to accelerate towards a greener, cleaner and more secure energy future.

This newly created position is an exciting opportunity for a confident, experienced and proactive media relations operator to really make an impact and support this organisation’s ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the international energy agenda, the challenges and opportunities facing the sector and will strive to help build and protect this organisation’s international reputation and positioning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an international media relations strategy to protect and promote the organisation’s reputation
  • Plan and deliver creative, integrated media campaigns, building strong relationships with a wide range of journalists
  • Manage and advise on complex reputational issues and crises
  • Support senior leaders with their media engagement preparing briefing materials, Q&As as well as drafting speeches and presentations on their behalf
  • Build collaborative relationships across the Corporate Affairs Directorate and the wider business, both in the UK and internationally, to identify great stories that bring the organisation’s strategy to life.
