Reporting directly to the Chief Business Development Officer, the Directories and Awards Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s external recognition strategy. This role is essential in enhancing the firm’s market positioning through the strategic planning, development, and execution of submissions to legal directories and industry awards, including Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and more.
As an integral member of the BD, client development, and marketing team, the Directories and Awards Manager will collaborate closely with practice leaders, attorneys, and partners to lead the end-to-end submissions process. This includes drafting, reviewing, and editing high-impact content, managing referee coordination, tracking timelines and deadlines, and liaising directly with external directory and award publishers. The manager will also analyze rankings outcomes to inform future strategy and provide actionable insights to the firm’s leadership.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished writer and editor, with excellent project management skills and a proven track record of leading successful legal directory and award submissions, particularly within litigation and arbitration-focused law firms. A keen eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines are essential. Experience using tools like Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms is preferred.
