tml Partners are thrilled to have partnered with a top London Rights Holder to recruit for their Head of Corporate Communications. This pivotal role will ensure the team continues to protect and enhance its global reputation, leading the charge on internal and external communications.

The position is ideal for a strategic leader with a proven track record in corporate communications and PR, who can guide the clubs efforts to foster meaningful engagement with stakeholders, manage corporate risk, and elevate the club’s reputation through innovative storytelling and proactive issue management.

The Head of Corporate Communications will oversee the strategy protecting and enhancing its reputation. The role will unify corporate communications, PR, and internal/external relations, providing strategic counsel to senior leaders and ensuring the club’s values are communicated globally through proactive engagement and risk management.

Head of Corporate Communications – Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and communication of a clear and impactful PR & Communications strategy, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders, and advancing the clubs positioning through progressive initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of the global corporate communications plan with a focus on differentiating the club through the animation of the club’s values reinforcing its reputation on the global stage through progressive action and thought leadership
  • Lead the development of strategic, proactive seasonal communication programmes that bridge both internal and external relations with consistent messaging and positioning of our people as champions of the club’s purpose and values.
  • Oversee the full range of corporate stakeholder engagement plans with defined objectives and meaningful evaluation and measurement and ensure there is consistency and collaboration between the teams.
  • Champion collaboration on Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives and purpose-driven campaigns and drive internal and external storytelling and advocacy.
  • Lead the development of effective measurement systems for communication initiatives, ensuring transparent reporting of progress and alignment with both communications and broader club strategies. Provide key insights and demonstrate of value to the Chief Communications Officer and Executive Team.
  • Stay ahead of current and emerging risks and issues to brief key stakeholders, ensuring compliance and robust governance with accurate, visible, and accessible logs
  • Be a point of assurance for identified club spokespeople for both internal and external engagements and continually monitor opportunities where we can meaningfully engage on important matters to the club and its stakeholders
  • Act as a point of escalation for media enquiries and reactive issues, maintaining a proactive approach to managing media relations and supporting a 24/7 press office service.
  • Be an inspiring and visible leader, embodying their values, fostering a culture of continuous personal and team development, and championing career growth.
  • Drive personal performance and development by looking to consistently contribute to objectives and team goals, priorities efficiently and navigate challenges and find solutions to any problems accordingly Comply with all relevant policy, procedures and training including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection, IT usage etc.
  • Ensure budgetary compliance in an organisation striving to be financially sustainable
