The university is looking for a commercially savvy CMO who will join the Executive Leadership team and drive forward the university’s vision and strategic ambitions, notably leading on global reputation, market positioning, and building future revenue streams.
The CMO will be a visionary and innovative leader with strategic marketing expertise to enhance its global reputation, drive student engagement, and deliver measurable growth through data-driven strategies and exceptional team leadership. The role holder will develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, which allow them to follow developments in the external environment and horizon scan, shaping the university’s response accordingly.
A key responsibility will be nurturing and developing team talent and enhancing their marketing, sales, and communication skills to build future leaders.
Prior experience and an understanding of how a university’s complex structure operates is beneficial but by no means a prerequisite. There is keen interest in exploring marketing talent from the private sector to bring new perspectives to the commercial challenges the University of Lincoln faces.
The ideal candidate will hold significant experience as a Marketing Director or CMO in a commercially focused organisation. They will hold a blend of global consumer brand marketing with a successful track record of increasing an organisation’s bottom line through innovative marketing and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results.
