Director of Business Development and Marketing for a leading London Chambers

We are delighted to have partnered with a leading Commercial Set in their search for a Business Development & Marketing Director.

About the Opportunity

As the strategic lead for driving growth and enhancing our reputation, you’ll be pivotal in shaping the future of our Chambers. Working closely with the Chambers Director and the Marketing Communications team, you’ll craft and execute comprehensive BD & Marketing Strategies that align with our objectives, charting the course for our success.

Your responsibilities will encompass establishing effective CRM processes, cultivating key client relationships, and conducting data-driven reviews to identify growth opportunities and evaluate the ROI of our initiatives.

With a focus on stakeholder engagement, you’ll nurture relationships with barristers, clients, conference providers, and directory editors, bolstering our reputation within the legal industry. Through positive engagement and effective communication, you’ll align stakeholders’ visions with your strategic approach, guiding them on a journey and fostering a cohesive and unified direction for the Chambers’ BD efforts.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a forward-thinking and award-winning marketing and BD team. With a global scope of work, you’ll develop tailored BD approaches for different jurisdictions, showcasing your strategic expertise on a global scale.

You won’t just drive strategic BD initiatives; you’ll also take on line management responsibilities, guiding and mentoring a driven and award-winning BD and Marketing team. About You

To excel in this role, you should possess extensive experience in BD & Marketing within the legal industry, preferably in chambers or law firms. You’ll need strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through excellent interpersonal skills.

You will be a strategic thinker with a track record of successful BD & Marketing strategies, proficiency in CRM systems and data management. You will have strong leadership and management capabilities, including experience in leading cross-functional teams, are important to succeed in this role.
