A world-renowned global law firm, celebrated for its dominance in high-stakes international transactions, is looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to its acclaimed Corporate M&A and Private Equity practice. With a footprint spanning the world’s most influential financial markets, the firm is defined by its ability to deliver bespoke solutions for global buyout firms, growth-stage investors, and strategic acquirers. This is a high-profile opportunity for a strategic commercial professional to drive growth and market positioning within a practice widely recognised for its expertise in multi-layered, cross-border deals.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Business Development, the successful candidate will act as a critical bridge between strategic vision and operational execution. You will serve as a subject matter expert, providing high-level advisory support to partners and practice leadership to maximise client value and retention. A key focus of the role involves leading the preparation of sophisticated, tailored pitches and proposals, ensuring every submission is aligned with evolving market trends and the firm’s overarching commercial strategy.

Beyond project management, you will play a central role in elevating the firm’s external profile. This involves collaborating closely with marketing and communications teams to develop impactful thought leadership, orchestrate high-profile events, and secure prestigious industry rankings. The remit also includes a strong emphasis on team leadership, where you will mentor and guide business development colleagues to foster a culture of innovation and high-performance excellence. You will be responsible for monitoring the impact of these initiatives through data-driven insights and key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in managing business development activities within a professional services or legal environment. You must demonstrate recognized expertise in client planning, market positioning, and the end-to-end pitching process. Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex operational challenges are essential, as is a track record of successfully coordinating cross-functional teams under tight timelines. Above all, you will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and the commercial awareness required to keep a leading global firm at the forefront of a competitive marketplace.
