An elite global legal powerhouse is looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the strategic growth of its Corporate practice. This firm operates at the pinnacle of the legal industry, advising on the most significant mergers, acquisitions, and private equity deals globally. The environment is fast-paced and intellectually stimulating, offering a platform for a senior professional to drive change and deliver high-impact results within a world-class marketing and business development function.

This senior-level position serves as a primary consultant to the firm’s Corporate partners, focusing on the expansion of existing client relationships and the strategic pursuit of new mandates. You will own the business development strategy for the practice, ensuring that marketing efforts are aligned with the firm’s wider commercial goals. The role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of the pitch process, from initial research and messaging through to final presentation and post-pitch analysis. You will be expected to bring a high degree of commercial acumen to the role, helping the partnership identify emerging market opportunities and navigate competitive challenges.

Beyond tactical execution, the Senior Business Development Manager will play a vital role in enhancing the practice’s market presence. This includes developing sophisticated thought leadership content, managing high-level industry partnerships, and overseeing complex marketing budgets. You will work closely with global counterparts to ensure a seamless service for international clients and lead a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The role is pivotal in ensuring the practice remains at the forefront of the global corporate legal market.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in legal marketing, specifically within corporate finance, M&A, or private equity sectors. You will have a demonstrated ability to influence at the most senior levels and a track record of implementing successful growth strategies in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. Exceptional project management skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure are essential. This role requires an individual who is highly analytical, commercially savvy, and committed to delivering unparalleled outcomes for both the firm and its clients.
