The Role

The Marketing Director is a high-impact leadership role within the Marketing and Business Development function, responsible for owning the firm’s marketing strategy and ensuring it translates into measurable commercial results. Sitting at the intersection of demand generation and client engagement, this individual will lead the firm’s marketing capability to build meaningful market interest and develop sales-ready opportunities. The role is deeply client-centric and focuses on modernising the function through digital excellence and the strategic use of AI, ensuring a seamless handoff to the sales team to drive national growth.

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing Director will develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm’s growth plans, sector priorities, and desired outcomes. This leader provides strategic oversight to campaigns, digital, and content teams, ensuring all activities are insight-led, outcome-focused, and supported by robust external agency management. A major priority involves embedding data and performance metrics at the heart of all activity to demonstrate clear ROI, while simultaneously fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement within the marketing team. Furthermore, the Director will collaborate across a matrixed environment to refine value propositions and establish scalable activation frameworks that engage priority markets effectively.

Key Requirements

  • Senior Leadership: Proven marketing leadership experience within a professional services or consultancy environment.
  • Strategic Alignment: Demonstrable success in developing marketing strategies that directly align with and achieve business growth objectives.
  • Digital & AI Innovation: Strong expertise in campaign-led and digital marketing, with experience leading AI-enabled capability development.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: A deep understanding of data, insight, and performance measurement to challenge assumptions and refine investments.
  • Collaborative Influence: Experience operating effectively within a matrix organisation, working in close partnership with Sales and other global territories.
