The Role

As an integral member of the communications and client development team, the Communications Manager acts as a bridge between the firm’s leadership and its wider audiences. This role is about more than just broadcasting information; it is about inspiring and engaging both internal staff and external stakeholders through compelling, multi-channel storytelling. You will work in close alignment with divisional leaders to ensure that the firm’s progressive strategy is clearly articulated and that every employee feels connected to the company’s core purpose.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the strategy and delivery of key employee engagement programmes, overseeing all internal communications across regional offices to ensure a consistent flow of information. Externally, you will proactively manage media programmes and social media positioning, working alongside a PR agency to drive the firm’s reputation and market profile. By linking internal messaging with external market approaches, you will ensure story alignment while managing essential systems like the intranet and supporting high-impact internal events and roadshows.

Key Requirements

  • Sector Expertise: Proven communications experience within a regulated B2B or B2B2C environment, such as financial or professional services.
  • Strategic Creativity: A track record of developing and implementing creative communication strategies that drive engagement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in liaising with leadership teams and external PR agencies to align messaging.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing internal communication platforms, intranets, and self-serve systems.
  • Exceptional Writing: Highly developed writing and communication skills to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
