Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the business development and visibility initiatives across a number of transactional practices including M&A, and Private Equity. The role involves providing strategic guidance on business plans, leading pitches and RFPs, and ensuring the firm is positioned to win new work. The manager will also oversee the preparation of client-facing materials, and work with colleagues to identify, develop, and grow high-value clients. The role also involves assisting with team management and contributing to the development of early tenure marketing team members.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated business development professional with experience in professional services, with a preference for direct legal business development experience. They should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong project management abilities, and an understanding of the demands of a law firm environment. The candidate should also have experience with strategic business development planning and pitching, and a solid understanding of transactional practices is preferred.
