A leading global law firm is seeking a Manager of AI & ML Applications to help shape and drive its AI strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance immediate implementation with long-term vision, supporting the adoption of artificial intelligence across business and client-facing functions.

The Manager will work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where AI/ML can automate repetitive work, enhance efficiency, and surface new business opportunities. You will evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies, lead projects from concept through deployment, and train staff to ensure smooth adoption.

This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground floor of a firm-wide AI transformation, with the ability to directly influence how advanced technology changes the way professional services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and stakeholders to identify AI/ML opportunities.
  • Evaluate commercial AI solutions, design proof-of-concepts, and recommend tools for implementation.
  • Lead AI projects end-to-end: requirement gathering, testing, rollout, change management, and adoption.
  • Build AI/ML tools to support budgeting, forecasting, and workflow automation.
  • Develop governance frameworks, policy recommendations, and a long-term AI roadmap.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to ensure solutions are understood and adopted.
  • Monitor AI model performance and integrations, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive AI/ML engineering experience, including model deployment in cloud or microservice environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Generative AI, prompt engineering, ML algorithms, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data, statistical analysis, and data science programming.
  • Proven project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience applying ML to forecasting, segmentation, optimization, or causal inference.
  • Familiarity with NLP techniques, text representation, and data visualization.
  • Prior exposure to AI governance, performance tuning, and compliance requirements.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated, self-starter who thrives on building from the ground up. If you’re passionate about leveraging AI to transform how work gets done and want to play a key role in a major digital transformation, we’d like to hear from you.
