The Challenge
International marketing recruitment specialists, tml Partners, were briefed on Avison Young’s requirements for several critical hires. These were to fundamentally repurpose their traditional business development function from a reactive service centre to a proactive engine, strengthening client relationships and experiences.
Avison Young was seeking greater firmwide cohesion, with a laser focus on pursuit management and winning the right opportunities, encouraging greater collaborative work and creativity in client development approaches.
The Solution
Klaidi Palluqi, real estate practice lead at tml Partners, began by deeply understanding the client’s needs and how these hires would be implemented within the firm. This opportunity needed the right characters to sell this vision across senior leadership teams, with a preference for out-of-sector specialists to bring in best practices from outside of the real estate sphere.
Having now successfully appointed three new client development leaders into the function across investor and occupier services, Avison Young is immediately seeing the value and return from this function.
