PGIM (formerly Prudential Investment Management) manages more than $1 trillion in assets across its fixed income, equity, real estate, alternatives and multi-asset channels. This includes $283 billion for retail investors and $553 billion for institutional clients, as of December 2019. David Hunt has been the CEO since 2011. The business can trace its history back to 1875, the date of the founding of its parent company Prudential Financial.
PGIM is currently one of the 10 largest asset managers in the world, with more than 1,100 investment professionals working for the company across 31 offices. The firm is headquartered in the Prudential Tower in Newark, New Jersey, which currently houses approximately 3,000 employees from a variety of PGIM’s investment management divisions.
PGIM is reasonably unknown in Europe and at the beginning of its journey in this market, meaning communications is highly valued. Communications has a seat at the table, with Execs keen to see how it can support business growth and deliver business initiatives.
Tom Morgan-Harris partnered with Joanna Drew, Head of Communications, EMEA on this new and exciting search for their first Communications Director in Germany. This position was to play an integral part in the next stage of the PGIM’s growth as they look build their presence across continental Europe. They were looking for a leader to drive forward the Corporate Communications function and strategy throughout EMEA.
Tom mapped the market across London and Germany utilising his network of Corporate Communications professionals to deliver a range of profiles for Joanna to review for this newly created role.
Paul Frigo was successfully appointed as Communications Director, EMEA. He will work closely with Joanna Drew in London, who he reports into, as well as with the leadership team across Germany. He will be responsible for the development and execution of the communications strategy and act as PGIM’s spokesperson for Germany and other European markets.
Prior to PGIM, Brice was at Noratis AG in Germany leading their Marketing and Communications team and has also worked for Immobillen, Fraport AG and Deutsche Bank.
