A prestigious global professional services firm with a formidable reputation for excellence is looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead its commercial growth across Germany. This is a high-profile strategic role designed for a sophisticated operator who can navigate complex international markets while delivering impactful results locally. The successful candidate will act as a vital commercial advisor to the firm’s leadership, providing the insights and direction necessary to strengthen its market position and drive sustainable revenue across the European region.

Reporting into the regional Director of Business Development, this individual will take full ownership of the German commercial agenda. The remit involves a sophisticated blend of high-level strategy and practical execution, where you will define market-entry approaches and identify key growth initiatives. While you will provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a talented marketing specialist based in the region, the focus of this role is on providing the overarching vision and governance that allows the local team to thrive. You will ensure that all promotional and development activity remains strictly aligned with the broader commercial objectives of the firm.

A significant portion of the role involves building deep, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders and partners. You will be responsible for driving structured client planning, identifying opportunities to expand existing mandates, and mapping out complex relationship networks. By translating market intelligence and competitor trends into actionable advice, you will help the firm stay ahead of emerging industry shifts. This includes leading the development of sophisticated, value-led proposals and pitches that clearly articulate the firm’s unique competitive advantages to global and domestic clients.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business development or commercial strategy, specifically gained within a partnership or professional services environment. They will have a proven track record of operating at a senior level, with the ability to move seamlessly between big-picture strategic thinking and the detailed delivery of complex projects. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as is the confidence to challenge and advise senior leadership on market differentiation and revenue expansion. The successful applicant will be highly analytical, using data and performance metrics to demonstrate the return on investment for all commercial initiatives.
