A leading global law firm operating at the intersection of technology, capital, and government is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development Strategy to support its Litigation practice. This role sits within the firm’s Strategy & Marketing function and plays an important role in driving strategic growth initiatives, strengthening market positioning, and supporting client development efforts across the litigation platform.
Working closely with senior business development leadership and collaborating with lawyers and marketing colleagues, this position helps deliver impactful business development programs, pitches, and strategic initiatives.
This individual can be based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Silicon Valley or Washington D.C.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives for the Litigation practice.
- Advise lawyers on client pitch strategy and assist in developing high-quality proposals and presentation materials.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify market opportunities, industry trends, and potential client targets.
- Partner with marketing and strategy teams to deliver coordinated business development campaigns.
- Support the planning and execution of strategic events that strengthen client relationships and enhance market visibility.
- Prepare and coordinate submissions for legal directories and industry rankings.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen market presence and support the continued growth of the litigation practice.
About You
- Experience in business development, marketing, or strategy within a professional services environment, ideally within a law firm or advisory organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling business development materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with tools commonly used in legal or professional services settings.
- Experience supporting litigation or disputes practices within a professional services organization.
- Background in strategic marketing, client development, or proposal management in a partnership-driven environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.
