A leading global professional services firm is seeking a Director of Corporate Relations to lead a significant transformation and new team build to re-define a heritage, multi-billion £ brand in a rapidly evolving corner of the market.
This is a permanent role, reporting to the Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer.
About the Role
The Director of Corporate Relations provides strategic leadership and guidance on all internal and external communications. You will be responsible for shaping the firm’s narrative and managing its global reputation, ensuring all communications align with business objectives and firm values.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and executing a global corporate communications strategy that advances the firm’s strategic ambitions and culture.
- Directing all media relations and maintaining positive relationships with tier-one journalists and key media outlets globally.
- Leading the response to crisis and issues communications, providing expert guidance to leadership and local teams.
- Serving as a trusted communications adviser to senior leaders, contributing to key strategic decisions.
- Managing a sizeable team of communications professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Overseeing agency, vendor, and budget management for all corporate communications activity.
- Assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of communication strategies, embedding a culture of measurement and continuous improvement.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- History of delivering communications in complex, matrixed, cross-border environments.
- A proven record of developing and delivering integrated communications strategies at an enterprise level.
- Track record of influencing and advising senior leaders, executive teams, or boards.
- Strong experience in team leadership, mentoring, and capability development.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
