Key Responsibilities & Impact:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Own and drive all facets of the firm’s performance, including optimising talent, clients, and reputation. You will bring commercial focus to the executive team and continuously evolve the firm’s business model to respond to market conditions, anticipating future risks as well as opportunities.
- Business Performance & Growth: Lead the achievement of financial and non-financial objectives set by both the partnership and investors, including developing and executing the annual business plan. You will spearhead high-impact business development, fostering technology adoption, cross-selling, and profile building within the group.
- Talent & Succession Planning: Optimise firm succession and build ‘bench strength’, actively supporting leadership development, particularly for Heads of Department under the new operating model.
- Client Service & Reputation: Actively monitor and enhance client service standards, driving initiatives that boost the firm’s market reputation.
- Risk & Integration: Take a highly proactive approach to risk management, ensuring compliance with audit standards and upholding professional conduct. You will also champion integration opportunities within the firm’s network of auxiliary firms and partnerships.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a commercially astute leader with:
- Extensive Leadership Experience: Significant leadership experience in professional services, with proven success in a growth led senior leadership role ideally within a professional services setting (Partner level or equivalent, either as a COO, CCO or CMO). Demonstrated ability to lead teams of 50+ professionals, with experience in post-acquisition integration and change management.
- Commercial Acumen: Substantial experience in business development, client relationship management, and revenue generation. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans with measurable outcomes, alongside experience in financial management including P&L responsibility, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Regulatory & Network Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of risk management. Experience working within or leading integrated legal networks or group structures, understanding multi-firm operations and group governance.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, a strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness, high emotional and change intelligence, and resilience under pressure.
