Overview

A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development Operations to enhance the performance and effectiveness of its global business development function. This role is central to enabling strategic growth by optimizing processes, systems, and reporting frameworks that support client development and revenue generation across multiple regions and practice areas.

This individual can be based in San Francisco, Silicon Valley or New York.


Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading the design and continuous improvement of business development processes, ensuring consistency and alignment across a complex, international organization. The Senior Manager will oversee CRM strategy and data integrity, enabling robust pipeline management and more informed decision-making. A key focus will be on developing reporting and analytics that provide clear visibility into performance, uncover growth opportunities, and support senior leadership in shaping strategy.

Working closely with stakeholders across business development, marketing, and finance, the role will support the execution of strategic initiatives and drive operational excellence across core activities such as client targeting, pitch development, and campaign delivery. The position also involves managing and enhancing the systems and tools that underpin business development, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and scalable.


About You

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in business development operations within a professional services environment, with a track record of improving processes and implementing scalable solutions. They will have an analytical mindset, with confidence in working with CRM systems, reporting frameworks, and data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

This individual is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and engaging with senior stakeholders globally. They are highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.


Preferred Experience

Experience within legal or other partnership-based professional services environments is advantageous, particularly in supporting global teams and complex organizational structures. Familiarity with CRM platforms and business development technologies is also beneficial.
