This is a strategic opportunity for a highly motivated, business development professional to support the firm’s internationally recognized Tax and Compensation & Benefits practices. The role serves as a critical business partner, advising clients on sophisticated transactions and high-stakes matters where these two distinct practices frequently collaborate. The Business Development Manager will work closely with practice leadership and partners to drive revenue and strengthen client relationships. The manager is responsible for Client Targeting and Relationship Management, including identifying prospects, tracking pursuits, and facilitating cross-selling efforts with other key practices like Corporate, Private Funds, and Litigation. They will also oversee Pitches, Proposals, and Marketing Materials, by executing high-quality RFP responses, pitches, and presentations that highlight the practices’ distinct strengths. Finally, they manage Events, Sponsorships, and Thought Leadership by coordinating strategic sponsorships and partnering with the Marketing team to drive content for awards and legal directory submissions.
The firm is seeking a highly skilled professional with relevant experience in a professional services, marketing, or business development function. Prior law firm business development experience is a plus, especially in Tax or Executive Compensation/Employee Benefits practices. Key qualifications include strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. They must have excellent verbal and written communication, combined with a strong collaborative working style. The ideal candidate has the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is also required.
