tml Partners have completed transatlantic mandates for IFM Investors’ Marketing teams, equipping their London and New York offices

Global institutional investment manager, IFM Investors, is a leading provider of investment services across infrastructure, debt, investments, listed equities and private equity. Melbourne headquartered, IFM continues to expand its presence with 11 offices globally in cities around the world. Naturally with this growth comes a critical need to consolidate marketing efforts to effectively communicate value propositions, showcase their expertise and sustain success in newer markets.

tml Partners were delighted to support with two mandates, a Marketing Manager (North America) and a Marketing Associate (EMEA), both important hires to drive the business forward. Partnering closely with Tanya Swanepoel, Director of Brand and Marketing, Hazel Pitchers, Consultant, alongside the Talent team, Dina El Khatib and Sabrina Karim, tml Partners successfully took both roles to market. Lottie Brownlow, Consultant at tml Partners and specialist across US senior hires, successfully appointed Dorothy Orlowski into IFM’s New York office. Niamh Bailey, Consultant at tml Partners and specialist within financial services recruitment across EMEA, successfully appointed Karim Abdou into IFM’s London office.

Marketing Manager – North America

Reporting to the Director of Brand and Marketing for North America and EMEA, the US Marketing Lead will play a crucial role in developing strategic marketing campaigns targeting institutional investors actively. These campaigns will ultimately support business growth and AUM goals. As IFM Investors solidifies its presence as a key player in the US market, this position will also ensure the protection and promotion of a consistent and compelling corporate brand.

It was crucial for this individual to have a strong understanding of the institutional investment landscape, a background in omni-channel B2B marketing, and excellent stakeholder management skills when approaching talent in the market. IFM was seeking a team player and self-starter with a drive to expand IFM’s horizons in the US market and play a crucial role in driving commercial success for the business.

Following a three-step interview process with key stakeholders from the London and New York offices, IFM Investors appointed Dorothy Orlowski. Dorothy brings extensive experience in the institutional investment space from her time with JP Morgan, UBS, PIMCO, New York Life Investments, Nuveen, and Citi. Dorothy brings a wealth of knowledge in this space, alongside a drive and excitement to be a part of IFM’s mission as they grow their presence in the US market.

Reporting to the Director of Brand and Marketing, the Marketing Associate will manage, coordinate, and execute key marketing activities primarily targeting institutional investors. This individual needed to possess a strong background in B2B marketing, with an understanding of the financial and professional services sectors. IFM sought someone detail-oriented and results-focused, with a proven track record of cultivating strong relationships and executing marketing activities across multiple touchpoints in the sales funnel, while also being a collaborative team player.

After a three-step interview process, IFM Investors selected Karim Abdou as Associate, Marketing & Communications (EMEA). Karim brings extensive experience in B2B marketing, having worked for globally renowned brands such as Moody’s Analytics, International SOS, and EY.
