Rathbones Group plc provide individual investment and wealth management services for private clients, charities, trustees and professional partners. tml Partners were approached by Rathbones to find a Marketing Production Manager to take over line management of the RFP and presentations team whilst also overseeing wider content change management to streamline efficiencies across multiple marketing disciplines. Certainly, a unique role that required extensive experience of people management and business change execution.

The team worked closely with dual hiring managers, Head of Marketing Operations Cole Walker and Head of Digital Marketing Lee Wilson to understand the role and the exciting project map of the wider marketing function at Rathbones. They were looking for a hybrid marketer and required multiple lines of sight across disparate disciplines. The ability to work autonomously was key, given the priorities and reporting lines for the role.

tml Partners reached out to his extensive network of marketing professionals across Asset Management, utilising a proactive approach that included headhunting and leveraging his network. An initial shortlist was presented within a week and David Squires was successfully appointed to the position, who had been known in his network for some time.
