How tml Partners connected Ambienta with senior Marketing talent for global expansion

tml Partners’ role in appointing Senior Marketing leaders

tml Partners, an Executive Search and Senior Recruitment firm, was approached to leverage their expertise in appointing senior marketing leaders into dynamic investment businesses like Ambienta. With a clear vision and firm-wide buy-in to source the right marketing talent, tml Partners embarked on the task. Despite Ambienta being headquartered in Milan, the decision was made to appoint their marketing hire from the London office, recognising the abundant talent in the city for multilingual investment marketing professionals and supporting international expansion plans.

Emma Morrison of tml Partners worked closely with Ambienta’s Head of HR, Michela D’Isita, to understand the role and the exciting trajectory of the entire business as they expand into new products and geographies. They were looking for a full-mix channel marketer with experience in smaller, multinational firms and a grounding in alternative asset management. The ability to work autonomously was key, given the absence of previous in-house marketing support and to be able to scout out the right agency partners to support the business’ growth agenda going forward. 

Emma reached out to her extensive network of marketing professionals across Asset Management and Private Equity, utilising a proactive approach that included headhunting and engaging their referral network. The search first focussed on Milan before the decision to include London talent was made. Selecting candidates from both cities, a shortlist was presented and Biliana Petrov was successfully appointed to the position.
