New Interim and Permanent Head of Digital Delivery for Lombard Odier Investment Managers

Lombard Odier Investment Managers is  the asset management business of the Swiss headquartered Lombard Odier Group. They provide a range of investment solutions to institutional and wholesale clients, that are all long-term oriented in their many and diverse ways. Their investment capabilities span Fixed Income, Convertible Bonds, Equities, Multi-Asset and Alternatives. In 2019, LOIM received a B Corp certification from leading non-profit B Lab, in recognition of its corporate sustainability practices. Sustainability is absolutely central to their investment philosophy.

With more than 140 investment professionals, they are a global business with a network of 13 offices across Europe, Asia and North America and have assets under management of 63 billion CHF (as at 31 December 2020).

Emma Morrison and Seb Wainwright worked directly with Lombard Odier Investment Managers’ (LOIM) Head of Central Marketing to support their urgent need to appoint an interim Digital Marketing Consultant as well as a permanent Head of Digital Delivery. The key focus of the role was on the delivery of the digital marketing strategy through the development and maintenance of the LOIM website, alongside the evolution and integration of other key digital platforms. 

The team at tml Partners took time to understand the hiring manager’s needs, both in terms of immediate support and their ongoing vision, and thereafter reached out to the tml Partners’ network, alongside a proactive headhunt of passive talent, to provide a carefully screened shortlist to the client. 

Sara joined Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) in January 2019. She previously worked for GAM for a number of years, leading their product marketing function. Sara is currently responsible for three teams: digital marketing, product marketing and marketing operations. She then reports into the Marketing Director, Pauline Bush.

In under two weeks, Sara had met her chosen candidates and Neil Thornburn was successfully appointed as the Interim Digital Marketing Consultant. Neil had previously worked for JP Morgan Asset Management as Head of Digital for EMEA and was more recently consulting with a number of financial services firms whilst awaiting a permanent role with Kurtosys. He is a highly skilled digital marketer who was able to hit the ground running and get to know their processes, software and systems, and relationship with Group Marketing in an instant. 

Thereafter, Sara proceeded to offer Brodie Neader, from First Sentier Investments, the permanent role as Head of Digital Delivery. Brodie joined the business in November 2021.
