Aztec Group, a leading financial services provider, sought to accelerate their growth plans by appointing a Global Head of Clients and Market Development and a Global Head of Marketing to their commercial and marketing leadership teams.

Global Head of Clients and Market Development

The Global Head of Clients and Market Development was required to drive the firm’s global growth strategy. The role manages a globally dispersed, agile team of 50 individuals across six commercial teams, including business development, client development, marketing, US markets, commercial pricing, and sales and marketing operations.

Aztec Group needed this commercial leader to demonstrate:

  • People leadership of sizeable teams and functions ensuring the motivation, progression and development of personnel
  • Ownership of the whole commercial funnel in a professional or financial service setting
  • A passion for innovation and technology, adapting to get the most out of a commercial go-to-market strategy to drive future growth of the business

Global Head of Marketing

This newly created role was pivotal for driving a globally connected go-to-market strategy, enhancing brand reputation, and leading a digital transformation project.

Aztec Group needed a marketing leader to:

  • Develop a globally connected omnichannel go-to-market strategy to drive market share and revenue growth across key international markets
  • Lead a firm-wide brand refresh alongside the redevelopment of the website to enhance the customer experience
  • Lead the delivery of all Group marketing activities, managing a team of strategic marketing and brand professionals.

The Solution

Ryan Fabian, B2B Consultant, and Charlie Green, Managing Director at tml Partners, led the search for these roles. They each utilised their extensive networks to identify a shortlist of candidates for each role, ensuring a proven track record in driving revenue through global marketing and commercial activities was evident.
