The Senior Business Development Manager sits within the globally diverse Business Development and Marketing (BDM) function. Your role is to drive the development and execution of BD strategies that ensure alignment with Firm and Client and Sectors strategies for a set of core financial and transactional practices, primarily Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Investment Funds. Key responsibilities include formulating BD strategies, maintaining close working relationships with partners, managing the execution of BD initiatives, and providing oversight into win strategies and market-leading pitch submissions. This role is a key part of the team, focused on driving revenue growth and strengthening the firm’s reputation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development within legal services, with a specific focus on financial and transactional sectors. Ideally, they will have a strong understanding of banking transactions, restructuring processes, insolvency matters, and fund formations, along with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful BD strategies. Strong leadership skills, the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, and demonstrated experience leveraging data-led insights for opportunity spotting are essential. The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker with strong cross-selling experience and the ability to align tactical BD activities with broader firm objectives.
