We’re delighted to be partnering with a sustainability orientated consumer technology business to bring on a Marketing Manager. Having recently launched a D2C ecommerce site the CMO is building a dedicated marketing team to capitalise on the steep increase in demand of their products.

This role is 100% remote and where this business has legal entities across Europe and the US, they are very open the candidates in either continent.

Marketing manager job description

We’re looking for a hybrid between an operationally focused marketing manager: people manager, team leader and budget holder. And a brand manager, who owns the corporate & consumer brands and drives their growth.

Experience of B2C and B2B is important but B2C is Key.

Growing and leading teams (of circa 8 people) and working in lean, fast paced environment.

Required experience:

–       Essential that you’ve got solid experience of working for an ecommerce based brand.

–       Experience of telco, mobile operator or device tech brands important.

–       Exposure to a sustainability positioning ideal.

–       Strong experience of working within a performance marketing environment important.

–       Managing and inspiring a team.

The ideal candidate has experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns while managing and inspiring a team.

The manager should be equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing, and strive under tight deadlines to meet the company’s changing needs.

Objectives

·      Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.

·      Drive brand growth across multiple the UK, European and US markets.

·      Lead the execution of marketing programs /calendar for a digitally focused B2C brand from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.

·      Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.

·      Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.

·      Partner with email, performance marketing, and digital product teams to design, test, and evolve lead-nurturing tactics.

Responsibilities

·      Overall: Own the two core brands: propositions, positioning and audience personas.

·      Manage the brand team – operationally responsible for growing a current team of 3 to 8 by the end of the year.

·      Manage the brand marketing budget across both B2C and B2B brands

·      Help develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising, content and public-­facing communications.

·      Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly

·      Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

·      Conceptualise and execute on multichannel campaigns ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels.

·      Work closely with the Performance Marketing, Digital Product and CRM teams to drive aggressive ecom and brand growth.

Required skills and qualifications

·      Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns at an ecom brand.

·      Strong experience and demonstration of success with online marketing and social media strategy.

·      Experience managing a brand across multiple markets including the US and Europe.

·      Proven team management and budget ownership experience.

·      Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.

·      Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.

·      Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
