BD & Marketing Manager Lead – Regulatory and Public Law Practices

We are once again delighted to be mandated on a fantastic Business Development & Marketing Lead position for a leading London based law firm to spearhead their Band 1 Public Sector practice to support business growth for 2025. This partner group regularly competes with Magic Circle firms and sits in a tight knit team that values work-life balance, with an inspiring culture. It’s a dynamic position where you’ll shape the growth of key practice areas, with plenty of support from the wider team.

Reporting into the firms CMO, responsibilities will include:

  • Developing compelling business development and marketing strategies to support the growth of the firm’s thriving Public Sector and Regulatory practice group, taking a commercial mindset around this.
  • Identifying opportunities in the market, based on market trends and insights, which you will present to your partners groups on a regular basis.
  • Lead and organise all marketing initiatives, including campaigns, events and liaising with specialist communication teams to support on PR and media relations.
  • Work alongside their dedicated tenders and pitch consultants on large scale pitches, including working alongside consultants to build a timeline and find unique selling points of the business to use when pitching to key clients.

  • An established business development manager that is able to manage multiple projects and activities at one time, with a varied skill set across marketing and business development.

  • Able to be both strategic in planning for key business development and marketing initiatives, as well as hands on to execute plans and collaborating with junior specialists to deliver on projects.
